U18GB recorded a stunning victory against a hungary team that had finished third last year.

Again during a GB game there was an early goal within the first minutes when Ward scored at 1.33 on the powerplay. GB held the lead for a further six minutes when Hungary equalised. GB kept the scores level until the Fifteen minute mark when Hungary took the lead even handed.

it took until the 33 minute mark for the score to change again. Hungary took a two minute penalty for interference and Harvey scored on the powerplay to level the game at 2-2.

Going into the Third GB came out flying with Ferrara putting GB ahead again with only 55 seconds gone in the period. GB kept their focus and stayed out of the box whilst Hungary tok a penalt for tripping.
GB took full advantage as Ward made the score 4-2.

It took Hungary a further five minutes to reduce the arrears to 4-3. GB who have been so disciplined during their two games then seemed to panic slightly and took two penaltys in row. They paid for this on the second powerplay for tripping at 54.27 when Hungary levelled the game. GB did really well not to crumble having lost a two goal lead and managed to avoid conceeding again to take the game into overtime.

One night after a few drinks I decided that I would run round lake Bled on the GB trip. Al has had to join me to make sure I will complete this.

He then suggested that we raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association Charity Registration No 294354 as this is close to the hearts of many GBSC members.

The date of the run is TBC but will happen during our stay in Bled 15th – 25th April. Those of you who are travelling are happy to join in; you can run, walk or even cycle.

Hope to see loads of you taking part.

Please support this great association by donating on www.justgiving.com/gbscrunroundbled

Thanks

Annette & Allan xxx
