 GBSC are pleased to announce, this years AGM will be held on Saturday 5th June in Oxford. The meeting will commence at 1.30pm.
Hotel accommodation is available on request For those wishing to attend the AGM please could you advise by 22nd May This is because the venue has a set capacity in order to comply with fire regulations. Unfortunately this means people cannot just show up on the day in case the room capacity is exceeded.
As always, all committee positions are up for election. If you are interested in any of the committee positions, or would like to include items for the agenda please advise us no later than 22nd May |

Following the travel delays to the recent World Championships in Slovenia, we are currently awaiting confirmation from the hotel to find out if we will be receiving any refunds for the loss of hotel accommodation. Should we receive a refund we believe this will be only a small amount per person. We will also be receiving a small amount of money from the Coach company in Slovenia which we think will work out at around £8 per person. We will not be able to offer any refunds for Match Tickets / Day Trip / Coach Transfers as these were purchased and paid for in advance of our trip. |

GB Suffer Medal Heartbreak |

 The Great Britain Mens Ice Hockey Team suffered heartbreak on Friday afternoon as they were defeated 2-1 by Poland in their Bronze Medal Game.
Just 12 months ago the two teams met for the Bronze medal in Torun and it was Great Britain who came away with a 2-1 victory, but this time in Slovenia it was the Poles who extracted their revenge. |

Following the conclusion of the IIHF World Championships Div 1 Group B, in Ljujlana Slovenia on Friday, the Great Britain Supporters Club Player of the Tournament award was presented to forward Rob Dowd. The award is voted for by the GBSC members on the trip. On Friday night it was also announced that Great Britain Netminder Stephen Murphy had been awarded the Netminder of the Tournament by the IIHF Directorate. |
